LEWISTOWN, PA - On May 26, 2010 Lewistown Boro fire companies along with Fame EMS and Mifflin County Regional Police Department were dispatched for a two vehicle accident at the intersection of West Third Street and North Grand Street with injuries and possible entrapment.

United Fire and Rescue's engine arrived on scene and Lieutenant 11 (Ryan Pauly) Assumed command and advised all incoming units that there were two injuries and negative entrapment.

City Hook and Ladder's Rescue and Brooklyn Hose Company's engine arrived on scene and assisted EMS with extrication from the vehicles and placed absorbants on fluids.

The front/side impact collision sent the vehicles onto the curb and against a home. No structural damage was noted in the accident. Units remained on scene for about forty five minutes until vehicles were removed by area wrecker services.
